High Performance water-stopping Agent

1. Introduction

High Performance water-stopping Agent (HPWSA) is one of the products developed by Yuanda Engineering Materials Development Co. of China Building Materials Academy. HPWSA is a kind of hydraulic material featuring fast setting, high hour’s strength and a little expansion. It is widely used in many engineering, such as house, underground, underwater, and tunnel for water-stopping, rapid repair, and grouting, etc.

Impermeability: The specimens of slurry were curried in water for 3 days. It is water-proofing under 1 Mpa.

3 Methods for use

1) First, chiseling leaking spots or leaking gaps as a vertical horn mouth. And cleaning it.

2) Put 1kg HPWSA into a pot, then add 0.3 _~ 0.35kg water. Mix and stir them into paste. Mixing should be done with 40℃ water if the ambient temperature is under 10℃.

3) Put the mixed plaster in the hand, swiftly plug up on pressure against the leaking spot as the plaster be felt very hot and being a little harden. It should be released after standing for a while.

4) After the water is stopped, scraping the surface with water-proof mortar, curing it for 3 days.

5) For soakaway, put the dry powder of HPWSA into it, then step on it, impacting until the HPWSA harden.

6) For serious leaking of the gaps, drainage can be adapted. Block below gaps after up gaps. Finally, block draining hole.

7) For large leaking area, find firstly leaking spots and block it, then scraping it with water-proof mortar.

The product is gray-black powder. It is packed with plastic bags in carton. Net weight of each bag is 5kg, and of each carton with 4 bags is 20 kg. It should be protected from dampness. Duration of quality guarantee is one year. All opened products should be used up once.
